We finally took a taxi to Enterprise and, without a reservation, got a car immediately. Do not use this Hertz!
I called the same number we used to make the reservation, and the man who answered said he'd be back in a couple of hours! He said he was out picking up some more cars so we'd have a better selection. As if he were doing us a favor! He expected us to just stand outside for two hours in the heat waiting for him to come back.
We made a reservation for 11:00 AM. It seemed like the perfect place to rent a car because it was right across the street from the Southampton train station. Our train came in at 10:30, and we walked across the street to Hertz. The door was locked, and there was a sign on the door that said "we will be back in a little while. We are out helping a customer."
Great experience, great staff. Will use again if/when I need.
