Faster efficient and excellent price
I was visiting in the area and had wanted to have my Nissan Frontier truck 2005 repaired while I was there as I had all the parts to do the jobs with me. I took it in to this Garage and they told me they could do my two rear hub bearings and rear front axle seal. They gave me a price of $300 to do the job. I left the truck there and they said it would be done in about 3 - 4 hours. I went back after about 4 hours and the guy told me he couldn't do the job as his shop press was not man enough. I said so he couldn't get another garage to do it. He told me no. So I said just put it back and do the Pinion bearing and seal. Not knowing at the time that they broke the rear ABS sensors and had been trying to hammer the bearing off the shaft. They also had not done the pinion seal and bearing. I now have oil sprayed everywhere under my truck. I paid them 125$ for the seal and bearing to be done and they said the bearing was ok. They just changed the seal. I think they didn't do the seal properly by making a mark on the pinion nut etc, so that they would know exactly the amount of turns it took to remove the nut, so when putting it back after renewing the seal it would be in the same place before touching it. Now I not only have to pay for my ABS and my rear hub bearings to be done!!!! I also have to pay out more money again on the rear axle pinion seal and bearing to be replaced. I would say that this garage is a complete waste of time and money they know nothing about cars and trucks. I could have done the job myself if I had the tooling. I just wished I had checked everything before taking my truck out. Oh yes I had to call the Police as they wanted to charge me more money. The police told me that they worked on it so I have to pay to get my truck back. So if I was you I would not take any thing to these guys as they will just cost you more than you bargin for.
No estimate was given to us, and they went ahead and did the work without consulting us. (We never gave a go-ahead on the work, or signed a contract) They won't allow us to pick up the car unless the whole bill has been paid, and have threatened to charge storage fees if this isn't handled immediately. EXTREMELY SHADY.
Scam. We feel pretty cheated at the moment. My girlfriend requested several times that they provide her an estimate first for the work to be done on her car before doing any work on the vehicle. The vehicle is old, and frankly may not be work the work to be done. We wanted to make sure that we could afford it, or that it was worth it.
We are contacting the Better Business Bureau today.
