And so it went for month after month after month. Every time I got my money back, the liquor store would wait a week or two weeks and charge me once again. Only when I personally brought all the statements to a manager at the bank and he had the opportunity to review all the transactions... each for exactly the same amount, did he finally manage to put an end to it.
A few days before Christmas 2011, I bought a few bottles to distribute for the holidays. When the clerk ran my debit card, there was some sort of glitch and the sale did not apparently go through. He ran it again and I went on my happy way. The following day while doing some on line banking, I noticed that the liquor store sale appeared twice on my statement. I printed it out and returned the store, I explained the situation to the same clerk that had waited on me before, showed him the bank statement, and he happily refunded my money for the false purchase. Another man, who I assumed was the owner or manager glowered at me from a few feet away, but said nothing. No problem.

Solid beer store. They stayed open a couple minutes after 8 when I showed up at 5 till, guys were still in good spirits.
The following week, while doing my banking again, I saw that I had been charged for the purchase again. I called my bank, and explained the situation to them. They refunded my money (and I assume, charged the liquor store the same amount).
The following week, the charge reappeared on my bank statement. Once again I called the bank and again they refunded my money.
In short, if they have half an opportunity to do so, this place will rip you off.
