Family friendly, at least when we went at 7 pm on a Sunday it was slow, about 6 tables occupied, 1 couple and others all families. Good food, not especially cheap, appetizers came in north of $20, mains $22 upwards. Food was very good tho and portions reasonable. Would go back again.

This is an awesome place for great food and superb warmth at the bar. Bison chili is literally best I've ever had! Strong pours on traditional cocktails. Delish pastas, beef, charcuterie plates. Very convenient location at the intersection of movies, SCC, SAC, outdoor music nights. Bring your giant, very fat wallet!! There is no happy hour, no bar smacks menu, no small plates ... at least not how most diners would describe a quick bite/beer before a show. This is full on Hamptons pricing, even in the off season. Which is really crazy. Friday night midNov, place was empty. The menu is wonderful and probably worth the splurge for an occasional special night. Too bad the chwd doesn't not create a tap room of pubgrub option at the bar from 4-7, as it's the exact spot I would frequent once a week. An amazing bowl of chili and one Bombay set me back almost $50, pre-movie! Whoooaaza! That's at 6pm, mind you, at the empty bar, on a super quiet off season November evening. Another night, Saturday at 7pm in November, stopped in after SAC for one glass of Cab and a small app of meatballs. Another $45! Hamptons pricing, kinda obnoxious. Good good food, creative menu. Bring us a locals happy hour and you're my fav stop!

The service was rude, our burgers took nearly 90 minutes, and the burger I ordered rare looked like it had been cooked by the heat of a million suns(it was extra-well when I ordered it rare). Not what i expect from a $23 dollar burger. I'd rather eat cat food right from the can than eat here again. Skip this dump and go to the Publick House.

The cacio e pepe was to die for !! Haven't had that dish be that good since eating it in Italy.

I really don't understand the positive reviews. We went there twice this past August (my daughter liked the salad - it was $38 - and she wasn't picking up the check). I expect high prices in the Hamptons, and typically very good but not great food. This place was WAY too high for FAR LESS than very good. But here's the thing that really disgusted me. One person in our party ordered a panini. It came cold and untoasted. She asked them to please heat it up, and they refused. $20 for a RAW panini. Even though we all know a panini is a hot grilled sandwich, we googled and confirmed. The waitress was unmoved. This is really a HORRIBLE place!!!
